Step 1: Educational Qualifications The minimum educational qualification required to become a Loco Pilot in India is 10+2 with a Science stream. It is also necessary to have a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Step 2: Age Limit The age limit for becoming a Loco Pilot in India is between 18 to 30 years. However, there is some age relaxation for reserved category candidates.

Step 3: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Exam The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts a computer-based test for the recruitment of Loco Pilots. The exam consists of two stages – the first stage is a computer-based test, and the second stage is a computer-based aptitude test.

The computer-based test consists of 75 multiple-choice questions and has a duration of 60 minutes. The topics covered in the exam are General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence, and Reasoning.

The candidates who clear the computer-based test will be eligible to appear for the second stage, which is the computer-based aptitude test. This test is designed to assess the candidate’s ability to perform the duties of a Loco Pilot.
