Hosts file is a plain text file in your operating system, which basically maps hostnames to IP addresses. With the simple changes in hosts file you can override that command and redirect the page to the blank page or any other website of your choice. Step 1: Go to your desktop home screen and open search.

Step 2: Now type ‘Notepad’ in the search box then right click on the notepad and select ‘Run as administrator’.

Step 4: Select file hosts, then click on ‘Open’.

Step 5: Type “127.0.0.1 name of the website here” after in the last line.
