When your mobile is switched off and you are going to get an important call, how do you manage to attend the call? Or when you are in an out of coverage area and you want your friend or a family member to attend your call, how do you do that? Don’t worry. Here is a solution for your problem. You can forward your call to another number. And that is Call Forwarding. You can just do that by following a very few steps on your mobile. This feature is now-a-days pre-installed in your mobile. Here are the steps to activate call forwarding in your smart phone. The screenshots given are of the smart phone, ‘Samsung Galaxy A5’. But the basic concept or the procedure remains the same for all the other phones too.
- On the homepage pf your phone, go to ‘Phone’, the one you click to call someone. There, click on the ‘keypad’. Then you can see the menu option (the symbol with three dots). You can see some options like ‘Speed dial’, ‘Settings’, ‘Help’ etc. Then click on ‘Settings’.
- After clicking on ‘Settings’, you will be directed to a page with ‘Call’ and ‘Contacts’ settings.
Now go to ‘Call’.
- In ‘Call’ settings, you will be able to see many options based on calls, ringtones, sounds, video calls, voicemail and Wi-Fi calling etc. Click on ‘More settings’.
- Here you can view the options available for both of your SIMs. GO to any one of the SIM and click on Call Forwarding. It will then direct you to page to select ‘Voice call’ or ‘Video call’.
- Now go to Voice call (or video call), here you can select one among various options available to you. You can forward your call always or when busy or when unanswered or when unreachable. You can select the option based on your preference.
- After selecting the option about when to forward your call, a box will appear where you can type the number to which you want your calls to be forwarded. Then you can activate this by clicking on ‘Turn On’. That’s it and it is done!
So, this is how you can simply avail this feature of forwarding your call. And it is very important now-a-days so as to not miss any call. You can actually forward the call to your secondary mobile / sim or you can forward it to your closest friend or family person who can manage your call. This simple trick is very useful whenever you are busy or when you are in an out of coverage area. If you have two SIMs in your mobile, you can even transfer your call of one of them to the other. This will actually be helpful when both the SIMs are of different companies (if they have different coverage areas). So, isn’t this trick handy? Don’t wait and try this right now. Hope this helps you!
